Hypothyroidism
Hypothyroidism is a condition of diminished production or utilization of thyroxin in the body .When the hypothyroidism is of several degree and longstanding, it is seen as myxoedema which is characterized by deposition of mucinous material causing swelling of the skin and subcutaneous tissues (non-pitting oedema).
